PRINT VOLUNTEER SHEET

Purpose:  To build front wall, gate and guard shacks for 25 acre future site of Universite Internationale en Haiti

Where:  Milot, Haiti near Cap Haitien in the North. Bunk style housing. (bring twin sheets, pillow if you need & towel).

When:  Tuesday to Tuesday (but flexible) for best flight prices.

Cost:  $50. daily room and board, air fare not included. Six weeks prior to scheduled trip, send to:

Skills needed:  All building trades welcome, but mainly block layers, carpenters, concrete workers and handy helpers for this portion.

Tools:  You may bring your hand tools. Tool needs may change depending on when you come. Bring closed shoes, flip flops, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, water bottle, towel, personal items and snack foods that you prefer. Details in Volunteer handbook.

Weather:  Two seasons, dry season and rainy season. 90+ degrees.

Dress:  Shorts fine for men. Women-modest clothing, skirts, long shorts. Bring some nicer clothes for Sunday. Haitians dress up.

Vaccinations:  Tetanus required. Hepatitis A&B recommended but not required. Malaria prophylaxis—-Doxycycline or Chloraquine suggested. Bring your prescription meds. in original bottles.

Travel information:  : Valid passport. 2 bags 50 lbs. each allowed. one 50 lb suggested and spare clothes in backpack or carryon.
